Imperial Opera Introduction
Imperial Opera is a 5-reel video slot game, played on 20 fixed paylines, situated in an exquisite Asian-themed opera house.
The Princess symbol is Wild, and substitutes for any other reel symbol (except the Scatter symbol) to help create winning combinations. There are 4 premium symbols representee by various characters and 5 low value symbols made out of A, K, Q, J and 10.
The game is delivered to the casinos with a default RTP of 96.5%, but since this can be changed, always make sure to check the help file to see what RTP you’re playing. The max win 2500 times the bet and the game is on the high end of the volatility scale.
Imperial Opera Features
The Showcase feature is available on every spin. One random symbol (except the Scatter symbol) will be chosen at random and a stack of the respective symbol will be added to the reels to help create winning combinations. All character symbols can appear as Mega Symbols on the reels when features are active.
The Harmony feature is a randomly triggered event. Either 2 or 3 adjacent reels will be chosen at random, and will spin with the same symbols. The feature is not active in Free Spins.
The Crescendo feature is a randomly triggered event. Either 1 or 2 reels anywhere on the game area will be chosen at random, and each selected reel will be covered completely in Wild symbols. The feature is not active in Free Spins.
Imperial Opera Free Spins
The Scatter symbol is a large 3×3 symbol that spreads across three adjacent reels, and is only visible anywhere on the reels when the Harmony feature has chosen 3 reels to be synchronised. When the Scatter symbol lands completely visible on the reels, the Free Spin feature is triggered, and 10 initial free spins are awarded. During Free Spins, landing the Scatter symbol will extend the feature with an additional 10 free spins until the maximum win is reached!
Before the Free Spins feature begins, reels 2, 3 and 4 are locked and will synchronise to always spin with the same symbols. Mega Symbols are visible on these three reels. The Showcase feature is still active.
Imperial Opera will be available on March 7 across all Play’n GO casinos such as Highroller, Guts and Betspin.
Imperial Opera is a very typical Play’n GO game. It doesn’t really have anything new or innovative to offer and it feels more like a clone of other PnG slots. The max win potential is not that great either to be honest. It feels a bit like a mix between Book of Dead and the recently released Planet Fortune that also has synchronized reels.
This doesn’t mean it is a bad game however and a 2500x potential isn’t terrible. But we don’t see this game generating any hype or great interest and it will run the risk of ending up in the shadow of the better games released by Play’n GO.
